ø Friend+Ok I tested again in my home PC.
Yes there was an issue, i could not see the Book of Ancient Secrets menu at all, but now i do.(So no need for my first request!)
But i still cannot see the selected spells anywhere. The spell sheet only shows Warlock spells and Tome's Cantrips.
The Reason i think that it should be a distinction between Warlock spells and Tome (plus Book of Ancient Secrets Rituals) is the above example. what happens when for some reason the character loses his book. Sure in one hour he can summon another one, but there are times when you cannot have this hour and it helps to see the which spell comes from which ability/power/Invocations, etc.
I would like to hear your take for that.
Its only for aesthetic reasons. i would love to have all the effect/action in one column and other fillable material in the other. that why i would love to have the option: Rules Left - Notes RightGreybeard_Ray gave XP for this post

I had to go to the generation process myself to see what is wrong. I couldn't do that on my phone when I was responding to you before. Turns out there is indeed an error occuring when trying to generate the part of the Book of Ancient Secrets. Fitsou, can I ask you, the next time you see an error, could you try to see if you can get the error message? That would make it much easier for me to find what is going wrong and see that it is indeed the sheet and not the user making a mistakeIn order to see any JavaScript errors, you will have to turn on JavaScript error reporting in the preference of your Adobe Acrobat program.
I will fix it in the next version
As for the automatically changing the values of the spell descriptions. This is, of course, technically possible, but after I thought about it I decided against it. The problem with it is that it would make the spell description field uneditable because it has to be calculated based on the warlock level. Also, not having any description of what increasing the spell level does with the spell can be confusing (i.e. if I turn the "1d6+1d6/SL" into a plain "4d6", it might give the impression that there is still more to be gained from using a higher spell slot as the Warlock does).
Also, this would be another resource-intensive feature that I would have to make just for the Warlock (and only if it doesn't multiclass as another caster).
You are of course free to edit your spells yourself so that they reflect the level they are cast at.
For the attack cantrips (such as eldritch blast) I can recommend adding them to the Attacks section on the first page, that way they will change together with the character level.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know about the Java error. I will enable it. It would have saved us both some time.
Yeah you are right I haven't thought the possibility of multiclassing and the problems that might occur with that.

No problem, hopefully you can use the time-saver next time. Regardless of how, I do really appreciate all the bug-reporting. The sheet has become so complex that I simply don't have the time to try all things with all different options, so I am relying on the users to let me know about any errors.
The thing with having the spells be auto-scaled to the level of spell slots the Warlock has is that it is only useful for a single-class Warlock and literally no one else. So it would require a lot of coding and extra features just for that single class, something I don't think is worth the effort, especially because the current solution is not exactly 'unworkable' :P

I am having problems with the 11.32 Character Record Sheet generating the Spell Sheet. I'm trying to create a Human Bard 4 (College of Valor)/Cleric 1 (Light Domain), but when I try to generate the Spell Sheet (after entering my chosen cantrips and spells) the generator seems to hang. I know that I was told this might take a while, but I've waited for over an hour for the 'Adding page...' to complete. Just how long should I be waiting?

Hi wmarshal, thank you for posting about your issue.
The amount of time that creating a spell sheet takes is dependent on a lot of factors. Longer spell sheets (i.e. more classes/spells) take longer to generate. Also, the time your computer needs to make the spell sheets depends heavily on the amount of resources (CPU & RAM) it has available. So older computers and/or computers that are running a lot of other stuff simultaneously can take a very long time (my old laptop, for example needs about half an hour for just a single page). I tried making a spell sheet for a Human "Bard (College of Valor) 4, Cleric (Light Domain) 1" and I didn't have any issues. How is the multiclass entered into the class field? Is it like you wrote it: "Bard 4 (College of Valor)/Cleric 1 (Light Domain)", or like I wrote it: "Bard (College of Valor) 4, Cleric (Light Domain) 1"?
The way to check if it is your computer that is taking long, or if it is the sheet that has locked up is to answer some simple questions:
- Is Adobe Acrobat unresponsive? (i.e. you can't click anywhere inside the window or scroll the page) [during generation it should be unresponsive]
- Is Adobe Acrobat using CPU? (check with task manager) [during generation it should be using a fair amount of CPU]
- Do you get an error message if you enable JavaScript error reporting? (if you don’t see an error code, make sure that showing JavaScript errors is enabled. You can do this by going to: Edit >> Preferences (Ctrl + K) >> JavaScript; and putting a checkmark in the box labelled “Show console on errors and messages”) [normally there shouldn't be any error codes]

I had a spellsheet hang like that once. All I did was cancel out of the spellsheet generation. Save the current sheet (it is preferred you save the sheet before generating the spellsheet). Exit Acrobat. Restart Acrobat. Reload sheet. Generate spellsheet. Spellsheet was generated within 10 minutes.

- Added the backgrounds from "Curse of Strahd: Optional Backgrounds" (thanks to RCanine for doing the legwork)
- Updated the FAQ with the new sources that are used
- Updated the Homebrew Syntax on Dropbox with the new additions to class, races, and backgrounds (spellcasting and lifestyle)
- Fixed wonky graphics for the coins on the second page

This is the best character creator tool I have seen! Thank you! I have been spreading the word with all of my fellow players.
I have noticed a bug though, in the newer versions. I do not know if anyone else has reported this, but in the feats drop down, the Resilient feats no longer self populate or update the sheet.
Thank you again for all of your hard work!
